MGS at Meijer Gardens
September 17th and 18th,
2011
We
hope you will set aside the weekend of 17th and 18th September to join
the MGS at Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids for their Fall Festival in conjunction
with the Michigan Herb Society. This year we will be inside and have
a classroom in which to do demonstrations! The hours that Meijers
will be open are Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm. Setup
will begin on Saturday morning at 7:30am. Meijer Gardens will have carts
available to help you bring in your gourds. Meijer Gardens requests that
all gourds be left up until 5pm on Sunday when the event closes as at any
gourd show.
Annual Chapter Meeting
Saturday, Nov. 29, 2011
MGS will be holding the Annual Meeting for members at the Golden Corral
in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Alpine Avenue at 11am. We are looking for
nominations for Secretary and President. If you want to run please submit
your name to Jim Ege(jamesege@mac.com) prior to the meeting. This meeting
is always an important affair and if you cannot attend please send a representative
from your Chapter. It is important to have as many there as we will be
having a vote for officers. We would like Chapter leaders there to give
a report about what is happening in your chapter.
I hope many of you attended the Indiana Show and participated in events.
I hope many of you will attend the Ohio Show and participate in events.
It is always good to have the MGS membership out spreading the “word” about
us and our “goings on”. Remember to keep it “positive” out there.
