Now that this show is over let’s get to the planning process of the 2009. Enclosed with this newsletter you will find a questionnaire that Maxine Osburn (your VP) and I have created about this show and the next one. It is very important that you fill this out and return to me before the June1st. Be very truthful with your answers as this will be a determining factor for the 2009 show. Is there anyone interested in having a MEET & GREET this fall? This would allow our members to meet each other and bring others that are interested in gourding. It would also allow us to educate people on the process of harvesting, drying, cleaning and decorating. It would allow us to show them the “full circle” of the gourd. We could sell hamburgers and hotdogs, which we have left over from the show, have another yard sale and bake sale. If we want to do this we could talk to a few teachers to see if it would be possible for them to offer a few classes. Let me know what you think and if you would be interested in selling your wares at the MEET & GREET. All of this and much more will be discussed at the next meeting.
