Plans are under way for the 2009 Wisconsin Gourd Society Festival.

WHERE: Olbrich Botanical Gardens, 3330 Atwood Ave. in Madison, WI.

LOGO CONTEST: Our festival theme is GOURDS GONE WILD! Here's your chance to shine! Design a logo for
 the festival and see your art in lights! Send your designs in .jpg format to Barb Rothwell at cvwrr@charter.net or via U.S. Mail to: WGS, 2099 County Road E,  Blue Mounds, WI 53517. DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS 11/1/08. 

Festival Details:
The festival will run from 9 am to 4 pm with vendors, artists,  classes and instructors, demonstrations, gourd-related products,  supplies, tools, competitions, seeds, growing advice and literature. We will be offering the raffle and silent auction again as well as and prizes and a   Kid's Corner.

Admission is free.
