REVIEW AND APPROVE

Leadership Proposal

2024 Constitution & ByLaws
The Proposal
The leadership team’s proposal designates Vice Presidents and Directors by Regions - and in a chain of command/team relationship. One of the three (3) VPs would be assigned to Eastern, Central or Western region based on their primary location. Each regional team would also include two (2) Directors. Currently the AGS Executive Board consists of four (4) Directors. Under this proposal we would expand Executive Board by adding two (2) Directors.

Rationale
Chapters have needs that AGS may not know about due to infrequent contact between AGS and Chapters. Additionally, they may not know what AGS can do to help them or who to contact for answers or help. In other words, the proposed team configuration is aimed to increase the communication between AGS and all active chapters. Each regional team member will be a point person for specific chapters within their assigned region.
Updates to the AGS Constitution & ByLaws
A Leadership Team was formed at the beginning of the year (2024) to look at the relationship between AGS and Chapters to increase communication and help to address the needs/goals of both organizations. The Leadership Proposal, if approved, will necessitate changes to the AGS Constitution & ByLaws.
